Youth Counselling is for any young person, aged 12 or older who is experiencing challenges whether it’s a mental health challenge such as depression or anxiety, or issues with parents, peers, or people at school. Talking to a clinician can be beneficial in providing support to understand challenging situations and/or identifying next steps towards change.

This includes being comfortable with individual sexuality, making decisions such as whether or not to have sex, how to protect ourselves against sexually transmitted and blood borne infections, and planning for pregnancy at a time that is right for us.

Sexual Assault Treatment Centre (Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital)
This regional treatment centre provides confidential sex¬ual assault care and treatment options in a car¬ing, supportive environment. Treatment is pro¬vided within 72 hours of a sexual assault for adults and teens, and within 24 hours of an assault for children. Specially trained nurses and doctors, sensitive to the needs of sexual assault survivors, work at the Cen¬tre. Care and treatment is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

BullyingCanada
BullyingCanada is only national anti-bullying charity solely dedicated to creating a brighter future for bullied youth. What began as a youth-created website to bring together bullied kids and provide information on bullying and how to stop it is now a full 24/7 support service. On any day of the year, at any time, youth, parents, coaches and teachers contact us by phone, texting, online chat and email for help on how to make their bullying stop. Our Support Team has more than 350 highly-trained volunteers.

Child Advocacy Centre of Simcoe Muskoka
The Child Advocacy Centre of Simcoe/Muskoka is a child-friendly centre in which multidisciplinary professionals provide services to children and youth who have experienced abuse – all under one roof. In this neutral space, police officers and child protection workers conduct forensic interviews, pediatricians provide well child examinations, and child advocates support and assist children/youth and families throughout the entire process.

Seasons Centre for Grieving Children provides peer to peer support groups in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, safe, home like atmosphere for children, teens, young adults and caregivers grieving the terminal illness or death of a loved one; supporting them as they adjust emotionally to regenerate a sense of self and reconstruct their world.
